Who Needs Psychedelic Integration Coaching and Why?

There is a very big misconception out there that if you take become a coach, you will easily make money and book clients because people want psychedelic integration coaching.

The reality is a lot of people who do psychedelics don’t actually think they need integration at all.

Think about yourself.  How long did it take you to hire an integration coach? Have you ever made that investment?

It took me a very long time to even think of reaching out to someone for help with integrating psychedelic experiences. I thought I only needed healers and therapists, but when I realized that one of my therapists didn’t know anything about the medicine I was using, I knew that I needed to find someone who understood what I was going through.

Many people who work with psychedelics and plant medicines don’t think that they need psychedelic integration. But when you ask them why they turn to psychedelics, they usually have a reason. They might say they use psychedelics to calm their anxiety, find their life’s purpose, work through their depression, overcome addiction, etc.

Whatever the reason, there’s usually something driving their desire to heal with psychedelics. This is why it’s important to understand your clients and their needs and wants when starting a coaching business in the psychedelic space.

The core of what you need to get clarity on to be successful in your psychedelic-assisted coaching or psychedelic integration business is this: you need to understand who you are here to serve and how to effectively communicate with them.

You’re not here to help everyone on the planet, no matter how much you may want to. Even the most famous coaches and experts in the psychedelic space can only help a limited number of people. To gain some clarity on your dream clients and who they are, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Who are you called to help the most?
  • What is it that they’re going through?
  • What’s at the core of their psychedelic use?
  • What’s driving their desire to heal with psychedelics?

Psychedelic Integration Coaching: More than a Buzzword

In my business coaching programs, I guide you through a process that has you create a different (and more effective for both you and your clients!) perspective around what psychedelic integration really is.  I teach a process so that you to create a business that serves both YOU and your clients.

Many people who haven’t gotten psychedelic integration support don’t really understand it.  They may just think of it as a buzzword.

For example, a person might feel fine after a medicine ceremony but then find themselves a few weeks later struggling with the return of their anxiety, negative feelings about their unfulfilling jobs, or inability to maintain healthy relationships. They may have recurring patterns that they can’t break. These are situations where psychedelic integration can be incredibly helpful, but many people don’t realize it.

That’s why it’s important for coaches in the psychedelic space to help people understand the true value of psychedelic integration. By doing this, you can help more people to break free from their limiting patterns and create a more fulfilling life. This is the real power of psychedelic integration coaching.

Integrating Psychedelic Integration

People often turn to psychedelics to help them deal with something they’re struggling with. As a coach, it’s not just about saying, “I’m a psychedelic integration coach, hire me.” You need to go deeper than that. Instead of just focusing on psychedelic integration, think of yourself as a life coach who understands psychedelics or a health and wellness coach who understands psychedelics.

For example, I’m a business coach who works with psychedelics, and I’m called to help people on the psychedelic path. But I don’t talk about psychedelic integration all the time in my programs. Instead, I help people start and grow businesses and make money doing what they love.

As an integration coach, you can do the same thing. It’s important to go beyond just talking about psychedelic integration. You need to speak to the deeper issues – the day to day – that your clients are struggling with. This is a process that takes time and effort to discover, but it’s worth it.

To start, you need to understand what you’re called to do the most. For example, if you’re feeling called to help people with their health and wellness, focus on that and then incorporate the psychedelic integration piece. Or, if you know you want to help people heal from sexual trauma or abuse, focus on that and then bring in the psychedelic integration piece into it as well.

By understanding what lights you up the most and how you want to help people, you can create services and marketing plans that speak directly to your ideal clients.

Get Clear On Who Your Ideal Client Is

Many of the clients that I work with in my coaching programs, mastermind programs, intensive programs, incubators, or private coaching, have just started their businesses, and they talk about how they’ve only gotten a few clients.

Sometimes they find their clients by luck or through their own psychedelic or medicine communities, but then they hit a roadblock and can’t seem to get any more leads. They want to learn how they can get more clients, make more money, and grow their businesses.

Maybe you have a rough idea of who you want to work with, but you struggle with communicating directly to your ideal client, so you’re not attracting them. You’re not “speaking their language,” so your services get lost in the noise of thousands of other similar offers. Many people who start a coaching business in the psychedelic space find themselves in this situation, but you don’t have to get stuck here.

In my programs, I teach a specific process that helps you understand how to effectively communicate with and attract your ideal clients. When you learn how to speak directly to your ideal clients, you’ll be able to show them how your services can help them achieve their goals and make positive changes in their lives.

As a result, they’ll be more likely to want to work with you and pay for your services. Learning how to effectively communicate with your ideal clients is a critical skill in growing your business and opening up new opportunities.

Define What Sets You Apart From Other Psychedelic Coaches

Being a psychedelic integration coach is great, but really, the way you’re going to grow your business is to focus on what you love the most and find a “niche”. I actually hate using that word because I don’t believe you must choose a niche…  but there definitely is value in focusing on being able to communicate what makes you different from the other thousands of psychedelic coaches out there.

To do this, ask yourself:  What is it that you are offering and presenting that will really light up your potential clients?   Work on crafting your messaging in a way that will truly click with your audience and have them resonate with your content.

In my case, there are thousands of other business coaches out there, but the reason my clients join my programs is that I was just like them, I’ve been them in the past, I know what they’re struggling with, and I’m speaking directly to them. I understand them, they understand me, and I “get” them before they even decide to join my programs.

The same applies to you. You have to get under the layers of just the psychedelic piece. Understand your audience and learn how to communicate to them so that they actually start to see you and pay attention.

Your dream clients may be currently following you, reading your emails, consuming your content, and considering working with you one day. The more you speak to them in their language and address what’s actually going on inside of their minds, the more opportunity there is for the resonation to happen.

Bridge the Gap Between You & Your Dream Clients

I always describe it as this: You are on one side, doing what you love and what lights you up.  Your ideal clients are on another side, and they’re struggling with their pain points and the things they want to change in their lives. Then, there’s your offer. Ideally, this should be the bridge between you and your client. The only way to make money and grow your business is to meet them in the middle.

It’s not about giving up what you want to do, and it’s not about only doing what your clients want. It’s about finding that sweet spot where you take what you want to do the most, speak about it in a way that appeals to your audience, and begin to attract the people you want to help the most.

I have people signing up for my programs every day who have been following me for 2, 3, or 4 years. Sometimes it takes people a few years to build that trust with you and decide to work with you. Maybe they’ve been working with psychedelics for a long time, and then something happens that makes them finally think, “Wow, I could use some integration help after that medicine ceremony.” That’s when they think of you first because you’ve already been speaking to them in their language for so long.

When you discover the right messaging for your business, that’s when you start to build your own community, your niche, and foster a fanbase of people that want to work with you now or potentially later.

Speak the Language Your Ideal Clients Speak

You need to share your message somewhere in order to reach people and have them know about your coaching or healing work. If you want to work with humans, you need a way to reach humans.  Online, in person, community, social media, email, podcast, websites, workshops, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc. There are many ways!!!

But, when you put your content in front of your audience…. how are you going to know what to say if you don’t truly understand what your ideal clients are struggling with and what they want?

You might be speaking in a way that makes sense to you, but if it doesn’t resonate with your ideal clients, then that disconnect is going to cost you.

That sweet spot I mentioned earlier? This is what guides every post you write, every email you write, every workshop you’ll deliver, and even integration circles. I find that this key piece is missing in so many coaching and healing businesses.

I can tell you right now even if you go and build a community or post on Instagram 20 times a day,  or put up a new website, this won’t give you the results you want. In order to really start to attract your people, you have to speak their language.

You need clarity around what makes you different, and you need to know how to get your dream clients ready to say “Yes” to your services.

When you understand who you are here to serve and how to speak in a way that resonates with your dream clients, you’ll attract the people you want to help the most and truly begin to see your business grow and flourish in a more aligned way.

That’s my biggest piece of advice, and I hope you found this information helpful.
